Czech preparatory courses in VŠE

This course is mainly for students who would like to study at VŠE. Students will practice everything what they will need for their entrance examinations. The groups, where can be max. 15 students, are focused on the subjects which are needed during entrance examinations, so not only Czech, but also additional subjects such as Math, English and general study needs. The students have the chance to be perfectly prepared for the entrance exams. And it is really good experience for them so the first instance of their study will be much more easier.
This course is taught by the experienced teachers from VŠE who prepared the tests for the entrance exams.
I. One year preparatory courses – session (9.2013 – 5.2014):
Winter term 09.09.2013 – 13.12.2013 (14 weeks) – 25 lesson of Czech per week
Subjects: grammar, fonetics, conversation, etc.
There is an end-of-term examination at the end of the winter term.
Summer term 06.01.2014 – 16.05.2014 (19 weeks) – 20 lesson of Czech per week + 5 lessons of additional subjects
Subjects: grammar, fonetics, conversation, economic Czech, English, Math,etc.
The summer term is concluded with a final exam and the issue of the Certificate of Achievement.
There is one week of study leave after every four weeks in the study programme.

The full cost of the course is 104000 czech crowns (approximately 4100 Euros) includes tuition fees for Czech language training, including basic teaching materials and the end-of the term test and the finals. The non-refundable registration fee is 6500 czech crowns (approximately 255 Euros) is not included in the cost of the course. The students who will on arrival provide school certificate/university diploma with GPA 4,7 or more (for the citizens of Ukraine the minimum GPA is 9,8; for the citizens of Belarus the minimum GPA is 9,4), will get the single-paid scholarship in the amount of 3000 Czech korunas (about 125 euros). The students who will on arrival provide school certificate/university diploma with GPA 5,0 (for the citizens of Ukraine with GPA 12,0; for the citizens of Belarus with GPA 10,0), will get the single-paid scholarship in the amount of 4500 Czech korunas (about 180 euros).
The invoice will be in euros according to the actual exchange rate of Ceska sporitelna, a.s. (Foreign Exchange – Buy). On student’s request the invoice can be stated in czech crowns.
The students of these courses can be accommodated at VŠE dormitory.
How to apply?
1. Register: Fill in the application form . Send the copy of the international passport (just the page with your picture and personal data) and the copy of school certificate of 9th grade or 11th grade (in case if already finished secondary school) to: kurzy-ceskyjazyk@vse.cz. Due to limited number of study places, we can take into consideration the GPA (grade point average) of your certificate.
2. Pay the course (on account): the course has to be paid in full amount including the registration fee. Only this payment will be the precondition for delivering of the official letter which will confirm the admission of the student. It is one of the basic documents necessary for the settlerment of student visa.

After the transfer of the money, you will get the e-mail confirmation about the payment of the course and during 5 working days we will send you an official letter which will be your confirmation. The post fee is included in the price of the course.
II. Term preparatory courses
Session (06.01.2014 – 16.05.2014): 20 lesson of Czech per week + 5 lessons of additional subjects
Subjects: grammar, fonetics, conversation, economic Czech, English, Math,etc.
The full cost of the course is 59000 czech crowns (approximately 2300 euros) includes tuition fees for Czech language training, including basic teaching materials and the end-of term test and the finals. The non-refundable registration fee is 6500 czech crowns (approximately 255 Euros) is not included in the cost of the course. The students who will on arrival provide school certificate/university diploma with GPA 4,7 or more (for the citizens of Ukraine the minimum GPA is 9,8), will get the single-paid scholarship in the amount of 1500 Czech korunas (about 60 euros). The invoice will be in euros according to the actual exchange rate of Ceska sporitelna, a.s. (Foreign Exchange – Buy). On student’s request the invoice can be stated in czech crowns.
The students of these courses can be accommodated at VŠE dormitory.

III. Complementary preparatory courses
Classes take place every Saturday (from 11.00 or from 12.45), two lessons per week.
Price: 26 Czech lessons 09.03.2013 – 01.06.2013 4.785Kč (about 192 euro)
The full cost of the course includes tuition fees for Czech language training, including basic teaching materials and the end-of term test and the finals.
How to apply?
1. Register: Fill in the application form .
2. Pay the course on account.

3. Bring and submit the study confirmation. Banker´s order is not the confirmation and is unacceptable!
IV. Intensive summer course of Czech language
The program is designed for the students who are interested in lifestyle and culture of Czech republic, Czech language and primarily for those who intends to study in VŠE and other czech universities in the future. We are giving you the opportunity to get to know Prague, the university atmosphere of the one of the most prestigious european economic universities and, for sure, to start learning Czech language. Moreover, every student can choose the program which can help you besides Czech to improve English language. The mother tongue of the students was taking into account while designing both programs.
The courses are held by experienced teachers who speaks Russian and English. In the end of the course the students get the Certificate of Attendance.
8.7.2013 – 9.8.2013 (5 weeks) – 2 programs are offered:
1) INTENSIVE
- Czech language – 25 hours of Czech language per week (5 hours a day)
The program cost is 550 euros. The cost includes the study fees, studying materials, Certificate in the end of the course. The registration fee in the amount of 150 euros is not included in the course fee and is to be paid additionally, it is non-refundable. The registration fee includes tha courier post fees, administrative costs, etc.
2) INTENSIVE +
- Czech language – 25 hours of Czech per week (5 hours a day)
- Business English – 15 hours per week (3 hours a day)
The program cost is 750 euros. This program includes the study fees, studying materials, Certificate in the end of the course. The registration fee in the amount of 150 euros is not included in the course fee and is to be paid additionally, it is non-refundable. The registration fee includes tha courier post fees, administrative costs, etc. The students are expected to know English on the B2 level.The students of these courses can be accommodated at VŠE dormitory.
In addition to programs every student can choose the cultural activity program organized by our partners. Within this program students will get acquainted with the most interesting places of Prague and nearby cities and towns, including:
- The historical heart of Prague (Wenceslas Square, Old Town Square, Charles Bridge)
- The Prague Castle
- Prague Zoo, one of the biggest in Europe
- Prague Aquapark
- Singing Fountains
- Vyšehrad
- Petřín
- National Museum
- Transportation Museum
- Český Krumlov, Hluboká nad Vltavou – wonderful castles, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites
- The most known resort town – Karlovy Vary
- City tours and the main Prague Universities tours (VŠE, Charles University, ČVUT)

The cost of activity program is 850 euros. Тhe price of activity program includes the transportation costs, admissions and group curator.
How to apply?
To apply for the program is very easy, you just have to:
- Fill in the application form.
- After we get your application, you will be sent the invoice. The course is paid totally by one payment (course fee and registration fee together).
- After the transfer of the money, you will get the e-mail confirmation about the payment of the course and in 5 working days we will send you an official letter which will be your confirmation and which is one of the basic documents for getting Czech visa.

Accommodation at VŠE dormitory
The students of one and two term courses can be accommodated at VŠE dormitory.
How to do it?
- Register: Fill in the application form (the same as the application form for the course, because without a course there is no right for dormitory, just send one application form and tick off the accommodation).
- Pay (on account) the accommodation for the first two months (registartion fee + the accommodation fee for the first two months, i.e. 2.700 czech crowns (about 100 euros) + 12.600 czech crowns (about 500 euros) = 15.300 czech crowns (about 600 euros); the summer course about 395 евро. The invoice will be in euros according to actual exchange rate of Ceska sporitelna, a.s. (Foreign Exchange – Buy). On student’s request the invoice can be stated in czech crowns. The amount must be paid in full (accommodation and the registration fee), better together with the course payment. Do not forget to state variable symbol and your name and surname.
